About Knob Hill Park
Knob Hill Park is located at 415 Knob Hill Road, in Warrendale PA 15086. The park was well maintained and is home to a lot of community events including summer camp programs, movies/concerts in the park and community day celebrations. The community playground was renovated in 2019-2020 and the old wooden play structure was replaced with a new recreation area.

Country Castle Playground at Knob Hill Park
The Country Castle Playground at Knob Hill Park was torn down in 2019-2020.
Country Castle Playground was a huge wooden playground located in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. The area at was completely fenced in and mulch covered the ground throughout. The only open area was at the front of the playground where you’re greeted by a beautiful tree, benches and Little Free Library.
There was plenty of playground equipment for all ages. Climbing structures included rope ladders, fireman’s poles, monkey bars and a zip slide. Recycled tired create exciting vertical tunnels that lead to hiding places below. Small wooden tunnels wound up to peaks and watch-towers.
There was an entire area dedicated to the 5 and under crowd called the “Tot Lot.” Some fun features included a wooden maze with activity panels, a steering wheel/car, tires to climb through and baby swings. The area was fenced away from the larger playground/swing area. There was also a sandbox with a slide that flows into it.
