Kids Castle in Cranberry is, hands down, the most amazing playground we’ve ever been to in Pittsburgh (see our entire list here). Located just past Fun Fore All in Cranberry on Rt. 19, this mega playground is ideal for children ages 5-12 years old (however little ones will certainly love it, too!). Recently completed in September of last year, it won the 2013 Community Project of the Year. This $500,000 project was made possible by members and business’ in the community.

There’s so much attention to detail with multiple play spaces and interactive elements. Older children will love the climbing equipment (and parents will love the soft, squishy ground).  Ropes, tunnels, bridges and even really amazing in-ground musical elements with speakers that play when you step in certain spots.

There’s also a playground structure with a type of climbing rock wall, slides and plenty of spaces to crawl beneath. We really loved the whimsical forest theme present on the climbing bars shaped like trees and the swing sets. Areas have signs that designate which areas are appropriate for what ages. Little ones will surely love the springy rides and mushroom climbers! You can find plenty of benches and seating great for picnicking. Lush green fields surround the playground area as well as a shallow creek for exploring.

Other facilities nearby include baseball fields, a dog park, basketball courts and

Kids Castle Playgrounds || Ernie Mashuda Drive, Cranberry Township, PA 16066

  1. This looks like a great playground! We will definitely have to check it out soon. Thanks!!

  2. This is hands down the best park around ~! We drove 20 mikes today to come here~! ❤️

  3. Could you please tell me the address for this cranberry park?

  4. Kids Castle Playground is located at Ernie Mashuda Drive, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
It’s right past Fun Fore All on 19. Keep an eye out on the left, the road is marked but hard to see!

  5. Is playground south or north of Fun Fore All? We’ll be coming up 19 from south, please. Thanks very much!

    1. The playground is just North of Fun Fore All… very close to it, though!

  6. We drove from Freeport to visit the Kids Castle after reading your post. It was awesome! My husband even commented on the air-conditioned restroom (it was a very hot day)! My kids have been asking non-stop to go back. We definitely will. And thanks to your other playground posts today we went to the Blue Slide Park and had a blast. Thank you!

    1. Yay! I’m so glad you visited! I had no idea they had AC in bathrooms, haha… just keeps getting better! 🙂

  7. It’s a very nice playground, but I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s for kids up to age 12. We took our kids, 8 and 13, and the 8yo is so tall, that he couldn’t find much to do except a few climbing structures. This area is really lacking in playgrounds for kids in the 7 to pre-teen age.

  8. Nice playground, its better for 5 year olds than a 2 year old. If taking I-79 make sure you get off of exit 78 and not 77. If you accidentally get off of exit 77 you are forced to go on the turnpike and have to go several miles before you can exit to turn around.
