Named one of Pittsburgh Magazine’s “Best in the Burgh” and collectibles featured in Country Living Magazine, the Bicycle Shop Museum is like a small gem that sits in North Shores’ RJ Casey’s Industrial Parks (a short distance from the North Shore bike trail). It’s the largest collection of bikes and parts in the world! They also have a bicycle repair shop where you can buy parts or repairing.
We decided we’d have to go see for ourselves. Ryan just recently graduated from using training wheels this past summer and this monumental milestone has certainly peaked his interest of anything with two wheels.
Craig Morrow, owner of Bicycle Heaven opened the shop & museum in 2011. The shop contains over 3,000 antique and collectible bikes- including Pee-Wee Herman’s bike from the “Big Adventure”! Literally, floor to ceiling is covered with amazing machines that appeal to all ages. Whether you’re an avid biker, a collector or simply a young enthusiast (like Ryan), there’s something in the 5,000 square feet that will catch your eye and put a smile on your face.
If you’re ever looking for a fun/unique venue for a birthday party or wedding, the upper space is available to rent. You can reach the Craig for more details at 412-716-4956
