From the moment we started pondering “boy or girl…?”, we knew we had to do something special for us and our family to experience this together.

After discovering the Hey Baby! 4D Ultrasound Studio, I knew it was the perfect place to share this special moment with everyone.

On the day of our appointment, we were warmly greeted by Jennifer (owner) who was extremely personable and made us feel comfortable from the start.

The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. The space was full of soft, warm gray tones against crisp clean white decor. A few select baby items stood below the front desk for sale, including Heartbeat Animals that play a recording of your baby’s heartbeat.

We entered into the ultrasound room. It was serenely lit with plenty of seating for our entire family. Once everyone was situated we were ready to begin. I laid down and Jennifer began the scan (but not before I grabbed a few tissues).

I heard to sounds of “oohhs” and “aahhhs” of my family as she brought the image of the little one to the larger than life screen in front of us.

We watched as our baby stretched, yawned, kicked and squirmed on the screen in front of us. It was absolutely precious.

Jennifer was able to switch between 2D, 3D and 4D, offering a unique and special view of our little one. The scan lasted about 45 minutes.

And then the words we were waiting for…

“It looks like we have a baby…. GIRL!,”  Jennifer exclaimed.

My family and I were filled with tears of joy and happiness.

 

Capturing the Memories

When the scan was over, we took “our first family photos” in front of the projection screen with our baby girl. What an amazing experience to share.

We received tons of printed out pictures (both in 2D and 3D) and gave us a DVD of the video that was recorded (it was very quick and only took a couple minutes). We also left with a goodie bag of coupons and various useful information.  

Scheduling Your Own Hey Baby 4D Ultrasound

If the Hey Baby 4D Ultrasound experience sounds like something you’d enjoy, there’s a few more things you should know.

Hey Baby! ultrasound in an elective procedure (not covered by insurance) but is completely safe for you and your baby! Jennifer has background in Diagnostic Ultrasound and her and her staff are registered with the ARDMS, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.  

Scheduling an appointment is SO simple and can be done online!

Visit Hey Baby’s website to use their online scheduling tool. Just enter your due date in their calendar and they will show you the best time to get your 2D, 3D or 4D ultrasound done. They have great package options to pick from and you can even book the appointment online!

Of course, family and friends are welcome (and encouraged) to join you during the ultrasound session.

At as early as 15-16 weeks, Hey Baby! 4D Ultrasound Studio can determine the gender of your baby with very high accuracy. If for some reason the baby has found itself in a comfy position and the gender cannot be determined, you’re welcome to return for a weekday visit within 14 days for a rescan free of charge.

At around 28 weeks, 4D ultrasounds are able to capture your baby in great detail including their little hands, feet and even facial features.
