Live Well Allegheny & Playful Pittsburgh
Allegheny County officials have designated Pittsburgh as the first “Live Well Allegheny” community. The Live Well Allegheny campaign was launched in January to encourage wellness in a broad sense — from physical health and mental wellness to personal and community safety, prevention and preparedness, and beyond. Future plans for the campaign include activities in all 130 municipalities, the 90 neighborhoods in the City of Pittsburgh and the 43 school districts in Allegheny County.
The campaign focuses on improving the quality of life for all of Pittsburgh. Initiatives such as Playful Pittsburgh Collaborative (a committed group of individuals & organizations) are dedicated to advancing the importance of play in the lives of children in the Pittsburgh region. Be sure to look for upcoming events and campaigns.
