5 things you need to know before you visit Science of Speed at the Kamin Science Center

Opening August 1st, Science of Speed is a brand-new, 21,000-square-foot experience featuring a multi-level electric go-kart track, racing simulators, interactive exhibits, and a racing-themed lounge.

2️⃣ How much does it cost?
During the day, you’ll need regular Science Center admission, then attractions are priced individually. Kart races start at $14. In the evening, ages 18 and up can visit without museum admission, with kart races starting at $24.

3️⃣ Who can race?
Kids as young as 10 years old can drive junior karts if they’re at least 50 inches tall. Adult karts are for ages 13 and up and require a minimum height of 55 inches. Junior and adult races are held separately.

4️⃣ When can you visit?
Family-friendly racing is available daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Then, Thursday through Saturday, the track transforms into an 18+ evening experience from 5 to 11 p.m.
