If you’re looking for magical holiday fun with the family, Phipps Conservatory’s colorful light displays are sure to delight!

They’ve recently received accolades such as Conde Nast Traveler’s “8 Beautiful Indoor Gardens That Will Keep You Warm All Winter” and was named one of Troy Polamalu’s favorite places to visit with his family in Whirl Magazine… and I think we know why!

The Winter Light Garden Show features spectacular lights, elegant designs and sparkling displays and is an absolute must-see for the holiday season.

Upon entering through the Palm Court, long, soft strands of lights accent the towering ceilings. The large Christmas tree and holiday display makes a perfect photo opportunity. Delicate smells cascade through the Victorian style greenhouse and lush, colorful flowers make it feel as if you’ve ventured into The Secret Garden.

As guests flow freely through the lighted pathways, they’ll come upon different rooms and areas. Each room has a unique style and theme.

While we’ve visited Phipps many times, the outdoor Winter Garden and Discovery Garden Display offer very unique experiences. Warmly lit glowing orbs, vibrant trees and twinkling lights illuminate a festive outside garden. Guests are welcome to purchase warm drinks and snacks from the Holiday Treats Hut.

Planning Your Visit

It took us about an hour and a half to walk through all the garden displays. Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes as the gardens feature indoor and outdoor displays. I’m sure you’re wondering… yes, it was busy- but what isn’t this time of year? With the narrow pathways and large crowds, I’d suggest leaving the stroller at home if you can.
