Memorial Day Celebration @ Soldiers and Sailors

Free Admission, Children’s Activities, Veteran Remembrance Activities & Live Entertainment! Bring blankets and lawn chairs and picnic on the lawn.

This is a free community event.  The celebration begins with a Memorial Service listing all Fallen Pennsylvanians from the War on Terrorism and other remembrance activities such as gathering live tapings of oral histories from visiting veterans.  All participants are encouraged to stay for the fun and festivities planned throughout the remaining portion of the day.  These events include live entertainment, contests, a food tent, museum tours, and children’s activities.

• 11:00 – 1:00  Froggy Radio on location
•  11:30 – 12:30 Children’s Field Day Activities: Egg Races, Shoe Mix Up Race & Sack Races. FREE Family & Children Activities by E.L.F. Entertainment including crafts, moon bounce & obstacle course.
•  1:30 6th Regiment USCT Drum Corps Performance
•  2:30 6th Regiment USCT Drum Corps Performance
• 3:00 -4:00  FREE Patriotic Concert by The Brass Roots

• Cornbread Eating ( First to Finish Wins)
• Most Patriotic Appearance (Audience Picks Winner)
• Patrioteer Challenge with Captain Kraus ( similar to Simon Says, Audience Picks Winner)
