|Recurring Event (See all)

27th Annual “Christmas in the Village Craft Festival” in Eldersville, PA on November 7, 8, & 9, 2014 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Stroll through our quaint town as you visit more than 50 crafters in various locations, and delight in the unique style of each artisan. Enjoy a Horse and Carriage Ride through the Village. The theme for this year’s Festival is “Rainbow over Christmas in the Village.” This is a tribute to Carla Fritch (Rainbow the Clown) who entertained at Christmas in the Village for many years. In her memory, we will have a color theme of Pink and Red, both colors used in her various costumes. Admission and parking are free.

A handcrafted “Welcome House” is centrally located in the Village on Cedar Grove Road where Directories will be available providing specific locations for crafters and food. Every location is designated by a number sign and is on the Directory. Handcrafted Nut Cracker Men hold directional signs for Parking at appropriate areas. There will be a “Children’s Tent” for crafts behind the Fire Hall.

You can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere of this free holiday event by walking Fire Road, Cedar Grove Road, Eldersville Road and Church Road in the Village. Delicious food will be served in four different locations; the Jefferson Township Fire Hall, Eldersville Methodist Church, and the Cornerstone Mennonite Church. These locations will also host many crafters.

The festivities begin on Thursday, November 6th at the Eldersville Methodist Church with an Opening Light-Up Night Service at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Following the Service, lighting of the Village snowflake lights will take place.
A Festival highlight is Breakfast with Santa held at the Jefferson Township Fire Hall at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8th. For tickets, call Paulette Mermon at 724 587-3832.

Christmas in the Village Parade begins at noon on Saturday, November 8th. Marching bands, scouts, fire trucks, dancers, floats and Santa will be in the Parade. The handcrafted Village Express Train will make its third appearance in the Parade.

During Christmas in the Village remember our Veterans by stopping at the Veterans Memorial in the middle of the Village.
