DESCRIPTION:Take part in the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt March 27\, 2015! \nCome out to Alameda Park for a fun-filled hunt like you have never done before. Easter eggs have been hidden all around the Masonic Shelter and playground areas! This event is designed for children ages toddler thru 10. Bring your flashlight and meet up at the Masonic Shelter for popcorn and hotdogs. \nRumor has it we will also be visited by a very special furry friend! \nThe Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Masonic Shelter from 6:30pm-8:30pm. \nPre-register by March 6th and your cost is only $5.00. After March 6th the fee is $7.00. Register early and save! Pre-registration is required. \nDon’t forget your flashlight!

SUMMARY:Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Join us for what is sure to be a fun evening. We are having our Annual Light Up Night of Alameda Park\, and we want you to join us! Divine Ridge\, a praise band from Butler\, will lead us in singing all of our favorite Christmas Carols. We are also going to be looking for all the candy canes that have been rumored to be hidden around the Carousel Shelter! Bring your flashlight and after decorating a bag for the candy canes\, we will go and look for the hidden candy canes. In between our searches we can enjoy some hot chocolate and popcorn while singing carols with Divine Ridge and our special guest Santa! Pre-registration is required. The cost is $5.00 per child for pre-registration up through November 7. Registration after November 7 will be $7.00. Save when you register early! The fun starts at 5:00 p.m. at the Carousel Shelter.

Admission is still FREE! Fees for vendors\, car cruisers\, anglers\, and 5k participants can be found at the Butler County Parks and Recreation Office\, if not listed below. We still have our Award Winning Youth Fishing Tournament (yes\, we have live fish in Alameda Pool)\, along with games\, a petting zoo\, mini-pony rides\, face-painting\, inflatable jump castles and slide\, activities\, music\, prizes\, and the Annual Alameda Fall Fest Car Cruise put on by Butler Pentastars Car Club. This year we are introducing our new Craft and Vendor Show\, along with welcoming the Butler Lions Club Toot and Scoot 5k! We will have food vendors\, crafters\, and vendors of all types with us during the Fall Fest. The Craft and Vendor Show will be from 9:00 a.m. until 5:p.m.
