Registration is $5 per child and proceeds benefit Butler Downtown\, a nonprofit charitable organization. The “Butler Bunny Trail” will begin at Parties and Playdates where children will create a paper mache Easter egg and receive a treat bag before heading down Main Street. Participating businesses will be marked as stops along the Bunny Trail. The trail will end at the Butler Arts Center where children and parents can enjoy refreshments and meet the Easter Bunny. DESCRIPTION:A star party is an invitation to anyone wishing to enjoy and learn more about the splendors of the sky. At a star party\, AAAP [Amateur Astronomer Association of Pittsburgh] members set up a wide variety of telescopes (basic and advanced models) and offer visitors stunning close-ups of celestial objects. Many visitors bring their own telescopes to take advantage of viewing conditions at the site. Others use the occasion simply to view the stars and planets with their own eyes. \nBefore departing for an AAAP star party\, check the sky conditions. If the sky is overcast or the forecast suggests rain\, consider postponing your visit until the next event. If there are just a few scattered clouds (with the Moon and stars visible in between)\, the star party will be “go.” Observing conditions at the Wagman Observatory can be confirmed on star party nights by calling 724- 224-2510. \nAll AAAP star parties are free to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Carnegie Science Center will offer an overnight opportunity to children and their families. \nAll Science Center sleepovers include: \n\nThemed activities\nOmnimax movie\nPlanetarium or laser show\nLive theater show\nScience workshop\nSleeping among our exciting exhibits\nOfficial Science Center patch\nLate-night snack\nContinental breakfast\nFree admission for the day following the sleepover\, including Highmark SportsWorks® and USS Requin\n\nFee for all sleepovers is $35 per person. Groups need to provide one adult chaperone for every eight children. Families or those not part of a group must also have a parent or guardian present. \nCheck-in begins at 6 pm the evening of your sleepover\, where you will receive a detailed schedule of the night’s happenings. The overnight experience will begin with a brief orientation\, after which participants will enjoy a night of themed activities. Lights-out is at midnight. All sleepover gear must be removed from the building by 9:30 am\, but you are welcome to stay the day after and explore even more with your general admission\, included in your sleepover cost!
