Tuesday, May 2 |Later on in the evening Family Movie Night at Castle Shannon Library will be featuring the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. We love great storytimes offered by local libraries. For books and rhymes meet at the Children’s Programming Room for Story Time at C.C. Mellor Library. FREE
Friday, May 5 | Children ages birth – 18th and their caregivers can enjoy Baby Storytime at C.C. Mellor Library. Enjoy strolling musicians, street performers, fire dancers with more activities all weekend long at 3rd Annual Millvale May Days. FREE
Saturday, May 6 | Kids can make their own flower pot at Kids Workshop at the Home Depot. Bring the bikes to Ross Township Bike Rodeo, try out the obstacle course and learn about biking safety. If your child is totally obsessed with fidget spinners then they’ll love the Fidget Spinner Showdown at Learning Express in Bakery Square. FREE
Sunday, May 7 | Grab some hot chocolate and enjoy a story during Sunday Morning Storytime at Nine Stories Pittsburgh. Enjoy Free Admission to Westmoreland Museum of Art! Have the kids sort out their cards and bring them to the Pokemon Trading Event at Learning Express in Bakery Square. FREE
Tuesday, May 9 | There’s plenty of fun for the “older” kids at Tween Art Club at Cranberry Library. Foster speech development and motor coordination through rhymes, puppets and a variety of activities during Book Babies at Shaler North Hills Library. FREE
Wednesday, May 10 | Listen to stories, make a craft and sing songs at Preschool Story Time at Cranberry Library and C.C. Mellor Library. Workout while the kids play at North Hills Park on their outdoor exercise equipment. FREE
Friday, May 12 | There’s a lot happening at the Bakery Square Summer Kick-Off Party! FREE
Saturday, May 13 | There will be plenty of bands on the outdoor stages at Millvale Music Festival. TheShaler Township Bike Rodeo will teach children (and their parents) about bicycle safety and the rules of the road and rights as a bicyclist. See the animals, play on the playground, take a hike and enjoy the great outdoors at Down on the Farm Day at Round Hill Park. The 17th Annual Avalon Apple Blossom Festival will have games, crafts, activities and even a barnyard petting zoo with over 40 animals! FREE
Sunday, May 14 | Happy Mother’s Day! Moms receive FREE Admission to Pittsburgh Zoo! Bring the kids for a special Mother’s Day Craft at South Park Nature Center.
