It’s not about the money we spend, it’s about the moments people share. Every family should have the opportunity to have fun without spending an arm and a leg. Kids are darn expensive to keep around as it is 🙂 Look no further, we have you covered! We’ve found some great opportunities for free and discount fun happening this weekend in Pittsburgh and want to share them with you!

The fun starts Saturday afternoon in Lawrenceville. The gates open up at 4pm for their annual Art All Night festival. There are tons of children’s activities that will be going on from 4pm – 8pm. From building cardboard cities to participating in fun games, it’s free fun kids of all ages can enjoy. Free and open to the public! See the event details here.

If art isn’t your thing, you might want to try out SkyZone in Leetsdale. It’s an indoor trampoline park that will knock your socks off (just kidding, leave your socks on). There’s an awesome coupon on Burgh Bargains for $9 for one hour of jump time (normally $15). Learn more about it here.

Ultimate Play Day is set to start at 1pm on Sunday in Schenley Plaza. There will be hula hooping with recycled materials, building with the Imagination Playground, running with larger-than-life cardboard soccer balls, crawling through the Lozziwurm and ARTventures in the museum’s art galleries and tons more. And, of course, it’s free! See the event details here.

In honor of their one year anniversary of the Waterplay renovation, the Children’s Museum will be offering discount tickets for Sunday. You can get $2 off ticket prices when you purchase them online here *use the code “WATERPLAY” at checkout (learn more here). While you’re there be sure to check out their XOXO exhibit that will be on display now.

If you’re looking to plan ahead, you can always visit our new and improved event calendar. A helpful tip: if you type “free” in the search bar and click “find events” you’ll get a list of upcoming events. You can see it here.
