The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh offers guests 3+ floors of hand-on learning through interactive exhibits, art projects, waterplay, playground equipment and more. While some exhibits are permanent, many change weekly/monthly for new experiences every visit. I’ve been visiting with my son frequently for the past 4 years and every time we find something new and exciting. I think my sons favorite area in the newly renovated Waterplay exhibit. I featured our recent trip to the Children’s Museum in our first YouTube episode… check it out!
The Fun Never Stops!
With classes and programs occurring daily, The Children’s Museum has something to offer children at any age- from toddlers to teens. For children ages 18th months – 3 years, check out Tot Time: the museums weekly class where parents and children are encouraged to sing, dance and enjoy a snack while we read stories inspired by weekly themes. Children ages 10-15 years looking to tinker with technology will love the Youth Maker Night events after hours in the MAKESHOP. In addition, the museum has partnered with the Pittsburgh Filmmakers to bring “Family Movie Night” to the museum. You can join in the fun after hours with dinner, popcorn and a feature presentation. Check the event calendar for upcoming shows.
